Quick Tip Tuesdays

Okay so I know during the week life can be hectic,  especially me I go to school full time and work two jobs at the gym and I’m also Social Media coordinator for my Dad’s business trust me I know crazy… but anything to make my life easier is always a plus! So from now on on Tuesdays I’ll be posting quick tips on health, beauty, food ect. It’s little things that everyone can try or do themselves that I’ve been practicing.

So for this week’s Quick Tip Tuesday:

How to make Black Coffee Delicious!

I’m not a black coffee fanatic my taste buds haven’t quite gotten there yet, I’m only 21 ok so give me a break,  but I have been trying to ease myself into it. Also black coffee doesn’t have as many calories as my white chocolate mocha cream filled usual.. so what to do?

Step one: Add one to two tablespoons of Cinnamon to your coffee grounds before brewing! Easy as that the aroma from this will have your mouth watering in seconds you won’t be able to contain your self from drinking the whole pot.

By brewing your cinnamon with your grounds it gives it a nice taste very subtle, but effective I love it and drink my coffee this way every morning,  to top it off I use a few squirts of my agave nectar or stevia packets for a natural sweetner! It’s quick and easy and COST EFFECTIVE seriously your saving money of buying creamer and on calories!  Give it a try it works also with other spices as well so if your not a cinnamon fan try pumpkin spice or allspice and most of these are full of antioxidants too!
So happy Tuesday everyone!

I work out frequently and eat healthy and it all started last March of 2013, considering I do work part-time at a gym, I’d totally be a hypocrite if I didn’t practice what we preach which is to “Honor God with your body”- 1 Corinthians 6:20 I am lucky enough to work for an establishment where they are faith based company in today’s world that is rare, unfortunately.

Fitness is a huge part of my life now and frankly I can’t believe I went without it for so many years. It’s liberating to know hard work does pay off and the feeling you get after a kicking a work-outs butt is AMAZE-BALLS! Or when you choose to pass by that McDonalds and skip the double cheese burger ( full of death) I might add and make a quick and easy, much cheaper lunch at home. Every little thing you change in your life may seem small at first, but the pay off is well worth the sacrifice you will make. You hear it all the time, about what will you gain when you loose, or get into shape, whatever it might be that your after, but have you ever thought about it really? What will you gain? I would make a list of everything you can gain from reaching that goal. Mine was to be at a healthy weight for my height and body structure which I found out from my doctor and to be strong and have a better confidence about myself. Working out and having a set routine has helped my body and my personal life in general. So even if you haven’t started it only takes one time, one second to decide your ready to make a change, for me it I had been looking at photos of myself throughout the years, and it dawned on me  “I am sick and tired of saying …I wish I looked like I used to or why can’t I look like that” you get to the point of disgust which is what I did, I was disgusted on how much weight I’d gained and how horrible I’d been to my body and it was like a switch had been flipped and I became super dedicated and wait for it…… Actually did something about it! That day I went to my pantry and threw out literally anything that was not going to help  me get to a healthy body. Basically I had to start from scratch with everything. I went to a friend and he helped me with a workout plan and showed me how to properly workout, and from there it was in my routine and I haven’t strayed away, consistency is key, studies show that if you do something for 21 days it becomes a habit, so I tried it and it worked after those 21 days I didn’t have to think about exercising it became part of my daily routine.

So what are you waiting for? Go do something about your situation and stop waiting for someone to do it for you.
